Community Mourns Four Lost in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Tiffin
HOPEWELL TWP – A tragic single-vehicle crash near Tiffin claimed the lives of four young adults on the night of March 26, leaving the local community in shock and grief.
According to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on State Route 18 near County Road 48, just west of Tiffin in Seneca County. Preliminary investigations indicate that a Ford Focus, driven by 19-year-old Hermoiney Greenler of Bucyrus, was traveling eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway. The car struck a tree and came to rest partially submerged in a nearby pond.
Three occupants, including Greenler and passengers Madison Yates, 21, and Jonathan Bowling, 22, both of Tiffin, were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth passenger, Alexzandria Hickle, 22, also of Tiffin, was transported to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities confirmed that Hickle was wearing a seatbelt, while the other three were not.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bascom Joint Fire District, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Seneca County Coroner’s Office, and Reinhart Auto Body. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to understand the circumstances leading to this devastating event.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, tragedy struck in the early hours of the morning, claiming the life of Jordan McDonald, a 28-year-old resident of Conroe. At approximately 5:38 a.m., officers from the Conroe Police Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash along North San Jacinto Street.
Upon arrival, first responders found Jordan, who had been ejected from his motorcycle, unresponsive at the scene. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, he was sadly pronounced deceased shortly thereafter. Investigators later determined that Jordan had been traveling southbound when he was unable to navigate a curve near the intersection of North San Jacinto Street and West Semands. He lost control of the motorcycle, struck the curb, and suffered fatal injuries.
Jordan’s passing is a heartbreaking loss to his family, friends, and the entire community. At just 28, his life was filled with promise, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. While authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, the pain of this loss is already deeply felt.
